Our Latest Projects!

Well, we are back in Rexburg! This summer we were lucky enough to be able to stay with Kennedy's Grandparents. Since we weren't living in our house I wasn't able to do any projects so all summer I stored away ideas in my brain... once we got to Rexburg it was time to unleash the projects! Kennedy was kind enough to help me {a lot}, especially with the painting... okay he did all of the painting. He's the best!

So we painted our kitchen table and chairs and I really like how they turned out, I wish the red was a little different so it might get tweaked one day but I don't think Kennedy is to eager to do that again.

We also painted Kennedys old dresser, last Winter we had it away in storage but we left all of our storage in our apartment over the summer while we were in Alberta. I realized that this dresser had some serious potential {plus we had no room in our storage} and this is now the home for all my craft supplies!! Love.

These are a few of my Wall Decor projects. Lyrics was inspired by a picture I found on Pinterest and I really liked it so Kennedy and I spent an afternoon thinking up song lyrics we liked, we thought of lots but these were the four that made the cut. They come from {left to right} Moves Like Jagger - Adam Levine & Christina Aguilera, Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO, Forever - Drake and We R Who We R - Ke$ha.

Our front door arrangement it a conglomerate of all sorts of different things but all three of the black frames Kennedy painted for me. I fell in love with the skinny one as soon as I saw it, I'm not sure if it will stay there but thats where it is for now :)

My Seasonal frames are the ones I always do, I still have Summer up because it still feels like Summer and I have to hold on to that season for as long as I can! But I already bought my Halloween stuff and I keeping my eyes out for cute Fall things to fill the frames with!

Okay this too was also inspired by a pinterest find, they were originally used at someones wedding but I thought they were to stinkin adorable to pass up! All I did was take a canvas and {Kennedy} painted it black then I used modge podge to glue the paper on. I just made the He/She on word. I also painted the & sign black because it was originally white. Anyways I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. If you look close in real life you can see the ripples {smoothing out paper on canvas is hard!}... at one point I almost cried because I thought it was ruined! But we mostly fixed it. Anyways, there is beauty in imperfections :)

Well that is the newest with us! School is great and we are having a blast!

Waterton Trip 2011

We took our last family day trip before Ty leaves for his mission! He leaves July 1 and enters the MTC on July 6th! It`s coming quickly but we are so excited for him. We had a beautiful day in Waterton, which was lucky because there were chances of rain all day!

So we got  to see two bears and they were in the same place about an hour apart from each other!

We hiked to Blackiston Falls and it was beautiful! There was so much water coming over the falls, it was so loud!
This is on the trail.. we`re pretty cute.

Anyways, we had an amazing time in Waterton. We decided we need to get up there a little more often, it really isn`t that far and it is so refreshing to be in the mountain air and enjoy nature! Hope you get out there or somewhere similar this summer!

Ketchup.

Hello everyone! Well apparently we have had a fun summer so far as our blog has been seriously neglected! I thought I would catch you all up. In April we got home just in time to celebrate Becca's 13th Birthday! We got her 13 gifts and wrapped them each individually, she had fun opening all of them! During April I had three weeks before I started working and Kennedy had already started... I'm not quite sure what I did to tell you the truth but I managed to fill my time some how. I was able to attend both my counsin Natalie's and Paige's College grads. It was great to be able to celebrate that with them.

May was a very fun month. I started work and started on my tan... unfortunately the rain has put that on pause as of late. The same crew I worked with last summer all returned so we are having a blast working together. The best thing about being in SoAb for the summer is being close to our families. We have been spoiled silly with Family Time and we are loving it since we don't see family very much when we are in Idaho!

Speaking of Idaho, because Kennedy is such an amazing husband he let me go down to Rexburg for the May long weekend to play with my friends. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! It was also a lot of fun to come back home to him afterwards! While I was gone Kennedy and his family celebrated Paiges birthday. The next weekend we all traveled down to Great Falls to do some Birthday shopping with her. We had {too much} fun taking advantage of the sales there!

At the end of May we celebrated Kennedys younger cousin Jordi's High school graduation which was very exciting and she looked beautiful. Also the ceremony was short and sweet.

June has already begun and we just finished planning our July vacation for our anniversary so we are very excited about that. We will certainly try to post a little more this month but still have lots of fun!

Conference Highlights

So it has been a month since our last post! That is terribly embarrassing. To catch you up; we have moved to Barnwell for the summer and we are working our little hearts out, we both finished our winter semester with amazing GPA's, I am getting a tan and Kennedy is still white :) Basically life is good.

We went to General Conference in April and Tyler came along for the weekend and it was really fun to spend the weekend together. We even got into the Conference Center for all the sessions {including Priesthood session} after a surprise flat tire, random ninja turtles and some great deals we came home tired and spiritually filled... to find another surprise flat tire the next day. But all-in-all it was a lot of fun and here are a few of our pictures!

Heres a few pictures of us on Temple Square between sessions. It was a beautiful weekend!

Random Ninja Turtle Girls haha.

I should've posted earlier about Conference and I could have told you about my favorite talks but my Conference notebook was left safely tucked away in Rexburg for the summer and I have a bad memory but I know it was an amazing weekend, it always is!

C-EH N-EH D-EH

Hey! We are back in Canada for the summer folks! For all of you who don't know we are residing in Barnwell, Alberta with Kennedy's wonderful Grandparents for the summer. They were kind enough to take us in and we greatly appreciate it!

Kennedy is returning to his job painting this week in Lethbridge and I will be starting my previous summer job for the Town of Taber at the beginning of May. Yes... I will have some time off. Last year I basically planned my entire wedding in my three weeks off but this summer I don't have a wedding to plan! However, my lovely friend Brittany and I are planning a fabulous baby shower for a friend. It is Cat in the Hat themed and it will be. Amazing.

Also, I plan on reconstructing a dress. I have been noticing on some of the Fashion Blogs I follow that others have done this. Here's one example. Anyways now you are officially filled in! More to come :)

I Turned 22!

In our house Birthday are a BIG deal and my birthday was no exception! Kennedy made my day perfect! The day started out with breakfast in bed with french toast and homemade peach syrup... it was SO good! I got to have lunch with Brittany... for four hours and it was delightful. While I was having the longest lunch in history Kennedy cleaned our house! {he's so great, right?}

For dinner Kennedy took me out to eat... and get this.... I got french toast {haha} but it was so good and I love french toast! Afterwards we went to Savior of the World, a production that was performed at BYU-I in the new BYU-I Center... this is a picture of it below, it seats 16,000 people. It's pretty big!

This year for my "cake" I for my favorite Coldstone treat... it was the best idea ever :) Then we opened presents... I got some pretty awesome cards and I should have taken pictures of them because they were hilarious... so thank you all card givers {Paige}. I got some pretty amazing gifts though; new black shoes {so cute!}, a pretty plaque for our living room, GOSSIP GIRL SEASON 3, Easy A, a Camelback water bottle {um how am I 22 and just experiencing this?}, lotion, the new book by Jeffrey R. Holland and a yummy cheque from my parents!

THEN on Sunday Kennedy put together a surprise birthday party for me at our house! We went out to feed the ducks which was kind of scary {there were 30 on either side of our car!} we decided to stay in the car as we were greatly outnumbered. Then we went for a little drive and my brother Ty called so I was visiting with him. When I got home I was still on the phone so I Ty got cut short! But it was a wonderful surprise and a lot of fun! Anyways, it was a great birthday and thanks to all of you that made it great!
