Meet Kennedy.

Kennedy was born January 10, 1989 in Milk River, Alberta. Kennedy loved his soother and always had it in his mouth. As a toddler Kennedy developed his love of salsa. He out ate his Dad and Sheldon Hoyt but later threw it up. That experience has not slowed him down one bit though, as he still loves his salsa, especially his moms, and can out eat anyone!

When Kennedy was five he got sunburned really bad and couldn`t wear a shirt for a whole week! He still doesn`t take the sun all that well. In elementary school Kennedy loved checking out books about animals from the Coutts library. He and his friend Devan would pretend that the house was their zoo and the different rooms were cages for the various animals they found in their books! Quite an imagination.

Kennedy started playing baseball in Grade 2 and he played Pitcher and second base. Then he switched to second base to short stop. Then he changed from short stop to first base but he stayed Pitcher through all those changes. In 1999 his team went to the Prarie Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan. The temp was up to 35 degrees! Very hot.

In Grade 6 Kennedy began playing basketball, which would play a big part in his life later. In Grade 9 his Coutts team placed in Zones. In the middle of Grade 9 Kennedy decided he wanted to go to W.R. Myers to play basketball and to be able to associate with more youth of the church.

Kennedy started at W.R. Myers in Grade 10 and he lived with his Aunt Chrystal and Uncle Eric in Barnwell. It was a rough few months adjusting to living away from home at only 15! Once basketball began life got a little better. Kennedy began to build a circle of friends at Myers and enjoyed playing ball.

One day Kennedy met a pretty girl at Myers, her name was Nikki. They began dating and it was awesome because Nikki made Kennedy want to be better. Nikki said she would only marry a return missionary so Kennedy decided that a mission was probably a good idea.

Kennedy graduated from high school in 2007 and started working at Lamb Weston... that lasted about two weeks. After that he started working at Taber Special Needs. Kennedy went and visited Nikki at BYU-I a few times before he left for his mission.

Kennedy got his mission call in November 2007 to serve a Spanish speaking mission in Mendoza, Argentina. He left in February of 2008. Kennedy`s mission was one of the hardest things he`s ever done but it helped Kennedy learn things he never would have learned any other way.

When Kennedy returned from his mission in February 2010 he began e-mailing and chatting with Nikki on Facebook. Nikki came and visited Kennedy March 8th and he took her on a wonderful date. They went out to eat at this fabulous restaurant in Calgary (and the waitress was really weird) and then he took her to a Calgary Flames game and kissed her for the first time since his mission! Before she went back to Idaho they decided to date! About a month later Kennedy went down to Utah for Conference and Nikki tagged a long. They had a great weekend.

Once Nikki was back in Alberta for the summer Kennedy proposed on April 18 down by the river at the Provincial Park outside of Taber. It was the same place Kennedy asked Nikki to be his girlfriend in high school. Nikki said yes and Kennedy was so happy!

Kennedy and Nikki were married in the Cardston Alberta Temple July 23 2010 and it was the best day of Kennedys life. They spent the summer and fall in Lethbridge where Kennedy painted, he liked painting but he was ready to start school. In January 2011 Kennedy started at BYU-I as a Biology Major. He plans to graduate 2013-2014 when he will then attend Optometry school.

They are living happily ever after.
